I Tasted The Rainbow

It so happened at the end of the pot
There were more words then there were not
As was leveled my understanding with a blow
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

For millions of years and far far beyond
We submitted to gods that never dawned
Until that final seed we did sow
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

It sparkled in a lavishly draped crystal dress
Our future cracked at its far upper crest
And it all unraveled into the past as we know
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

And I laughed most heartily without a care
So humorously innocent was truths virtuous stare
That I wondered why ever I feared a black crow
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

What a joke, o’ what a blasphemous joke
That with laughter my eyes seem to choke
Not the future, but the past seems to grow
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

As we see it, the future seems to claw
But that is just what caused the flaw
That we misunderstood its actual flow
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow

Don’t ogle if you don’t understand my crown
Someone played a prank, put it upside down
The past is the future, the future we all know
I realized right after I tasted the rainbow.

Ahan! not bad at all..and you are first..although i have also written the poem, i have forgotten where I penned it down.. I shall also put it up soon..

Good one..but as i have mentio9ned before..you try too hard to rhyme at times..it seems a little forced.. otherwise, i like the context and the placement of the poem...:)
